The PPAP Engineer is responsible for creating engineering documents for elements of PPAP. The resource should be familiar with the requirements of various PPAP elements and AS9145 requirements and the PPAP process. The role involves drafting documents based on engineering inputs from the shop floor. Key Responsibilities

Author PPAP documents such as Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEA, Control Plan, and Test & Inspection Plans. Review PPAP documents submitted by suppliers, ensuring submissions meet customer standards; guide and assess suppliers on PPAP requirements and readiness reviews to drive right-first-time quality. Support or lead the preparation and submission of PPAP documentation packages, ensuring completeness and compliance. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, program management, and supply chain teams to ensure product quality is built into the design and maintained throughout the lifecycle. Promote continuous improvement by integrating lessons learned, feedback loops, and best practices into future APQP cycles; support capability development and training on APQP principles. Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering 3-6 years of related engineering experience Proven experience with APQP and PPAP processes, ideally in the aerospace sector In-depth knowledge of AS9145 and related standards (e.g., AS9100, AS9102) Experience with FMEA, MSA, Control Plans, and Capability Analysis Experience managing suppliers or participating in supplier development activities Software skills: MS Excel, Word, Net-Inspect, MS Project (Added advantage) Location and Compensation

On-site in Indianapolis, IN Salary Range:
