Overview
Benefits Coordinator - Limited Term at County of San Luis Obispo. Assist with the administration of a wide variety of benefit programs, including deferred compensation (457(b)), employee assistance program, wellness program, unemployment benefits, Post-Employment Health Plan, wellness initiatives, and tuition reimbursement; manage enrollment and open enrollment processes. Advise employees on benefits details, eligibility, costs, and enrollment. Create and distribute benefit materials such as newsletters and brochures. Provide training and education; organize and oversee benefits fairs; assist with open enrollment administration and meetings. Monitor, maintain, and configure benefit-related systems and carrier interfaces; identify and correct enrollment discrepancies; ensure accurate transmission of enrollment details to carriers; liaise between employees, payroll personnel, payroll coordinators, benefit carriers, and third-party administrators. Perform accounts receivable and payable duties for retiree health premiums in coordination with Pension Trust; audit and correct invoices for employee/retiree premiums and deductions.
