Location: Remote (EST preferred)
Duration: 12 months
Contract to Hire: Possible for right fit
Interview Details: 2 (one with the HM and the other with a panel)
Required: Portfolio link must be at the top of the resume.
What is the most important skillset: Experience working on complex applications or tools. Insurance, financial services or healthcare experience a large plus. Experience with Figma preferred. Must be highly collaborative, have strong communication skills, and be able to work in a complex, cross functional environment.

Can you tell me what the person's day to day will be like: With guidance from a Lead UX Designer and Sr. Content Strategist, will pair with a UX Product Designer to support agile delivery squads. Writing application micro-copy, and designing information architecture and work flows to support insurance sales professionals. Work will be in support of the launch of new applications, releasing new product experiences for a company-wide tech modernization initiative.

About this role Join our UX Product Design team as a UX Content Designer supporting the modernization of our primary sales tools and experiences for independent agents and sales call center representatives. You will provide dedicated content design support to create best-in-class digital tools for power users, aimed at increasing agent and rep efficiency, improving satisfaction, and reducing expenses and tech costs. You’ll also benefit from the support of our content community of practice, where you can exchange ideas and learn from other content design practitioners.
You'll experience a degree of autonomy as you support individual product team(s), while also being a part of a mature UX team collaborating with product designers and user researchers. In this role you will work with business, engineering, and product owners to understand the business vision and objectives, and collaborate daily to deliver content solutions that meet user needs and business goals.
Key responsibilities
Work in an agile environment. You’ll partner closely with product owners, product designers, and engineers, as well as other content designers, marketers, analysts, and researchers.
Identify content opportunities. You’ll use content design and strategy methods to find ways to improve the user experience through information architecture and the use of language.
Write concise, effective content. Your writing will adhere to guidelines for tone and voice, follow established standards and use language best practices for the given channel/medium.
Continuously seek and integrate user feedback. You’ll evaluate UX effectiveness and determine where and how to optimize content.
Coordinate across multiple projects and workstreams. You’ll learn a complex product ecosystem and collaborate with other teams to ensure a seamless experience for the user.
This role might be for you if
You have a Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism or a related field, or equivalent work experience
You have a strong attention for detail and enjoy working collaboratively on large projects while giving and taking feedback from both junior and senior design partners
You have experience working on design teams with a proven track record of successfully delivering content for internal-facing digital applications
You have supported multiple agile software engineering teams in a scrum methodology environment
You know how to employ content design and strategy methods and tools like content audits, competitive assessments, quantitative analysis, design thinking exercises, user research, persona development, etc.
You’re analytical, and you love to synthesize complex information
You have a portfolio of written work that demonstrates creativity, problem solving, business impact, and results
