The Fund for Johns Hopkins Medicine (FJHM) is the dedicated development and alumni relations team supporting the entities that comprise Johns Hopkins Medicine (JHM), including clinical departments, hospitals, satellite clinics, and the School of Medicine. We contribute to Johns Hopkins Medicine's mission of patient care, research, and education through securing philanthropy, building and maintaining donor and alumni relationships, and supporting institutional priorities. FJHM partners closely with institutional leaders, faculty, and clinicians to engage alumni, patients, donors, and prospects in JHM's work to advance medicine and improve the human condition. The Assistant Director of Corporate Relations is a critical position on the corporate relations or divisional team. The Assistant Director will research prospective partners, cultivate relationships, prepare proposals, and support funding solicitations and stewardship of partners. This role is an integral member of Johns Hopkins Children’s Center development team. It is responsible for managing a portfolio of corporate partners and programs, engaging the support of new corporate partners and programs, rebuilding relationships with lapsed corporate partners and programs, and managing the Friends of Johns Hopkins Children’s Center social media accounts. The Assistant Director manages CMNH (Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals) specific corporate partners and programs (local and national relationships) through campaigns, visits, events, and conferences. They will continue to grow the Miracle Network Dance Marathon program by creating new relationships with Baltimore market colleges and high schools. They will also manage the Kids Helping Hopkins program and assist the Director with corporate donors and events throughout the year. The Assistant Director will build relationships with the CMNH national staff as well as collaborate with other CMNH hospitals. Key responsibilities: Collaborate in the development of strategies and innovations to advance corporate engagement and enhance the impact of corporate giving to and engagement with Johns Hopkins. Research funding opportunities and areas of growth. Make recommendations to senior team members as to alignment of campus areas of excellence with corporate giving interests. Map alumni relationships with large and significant employers, identify and engage individuals as representatives of corporate and business entities. Coordinate meetings, site visits, and other interactions to engage corporate prospects and donors. Work closely with multiple contacts across an entity to ensure engagement, reporting, and stewardship are maximized. Assist in the drafting, editing, and compilation of proposals, grants, and reports. Manage a small portfolio. Meet annual work plan metrics based on corporate engagement goals. Represent school/division/unit and Johns Hopkins University at a variety of functions. Serve as a resource and answer questions pertaining to specific corporate engagement programs, events, and activities. Create, develop, and maintain relationships with corporate prospects, donors, faculty, volunteers, guests, and colleagues. Execute special projects. Other duties as assigned. In addition to the duties described above, the Assistant Director will: Manage year-round CMNH campaigns, setting fundraising goals and engaging individual partner locations, providing support, and developing innovative stewardship strategy. Represent the JHCC corporate relations team at non-corporate events as well as events managed by the corporate team. Manage the Kids Helping Hopkins program, including working with the founder and key stakeholders to revitalize and refine their roles and reinvent the program. Provide assistance with the Corporate Advisory Board, which is staffed by the Director. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree. Two years of related experience. Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond a high school diploma/graduation equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
