Responsibilities
Professional engineer needed to work with relay protection schemes and relay logic.
Analyze fault responses and breaker operations.
Hands‑on troubleshooting and evaluation of equipment failures to determine root‑cause and necessary resolution actions.
Familiarity with microprocessor‑based relaying and relay settings calculations for protective relays associated with inverter based resources.
Interpret and develop relay logic with microprocessor‑based relays.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s in engineering and a PE is required. Master’s degree is preferred.
Knowledge of wiring diagrams and schematics, including DER site equipment (relays, inverters, UPS systems).
Familiarity with testing and commissioning of protective circuits using Omicron and Doble test sets.
Experience with relay protection schemes and relay logic.
Experience with relay settings calculations for protective relays associated with inverter based resources.
