Summary York County Community College (YCCC) invites a motivated and skilled individual to join our Athletics Department as a part-time, contract Women’s Volleyball Coach. Reporting to the Director of Student Engagement and Athletics, the coach will foster a competitive, student-centered volleyball program focused on player development, academic achievement, and team success.

Salary and Benefits BARGAINING UNIT/SALARY LEVEL:
This contract, non-benefited position pays $6,000 for the 2026‑27 academic year.
Duties And Responsibilities
Oversee the volleyball program, actively recruiting student‑athletes.
Coach women’s volleyball; supervise practices and games.
Actively monitor academic progress, providing weekly study halls and referrals to support resources.
Transport players and staff to games.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols, departmental policies, and YCCC policies.
Maintain flexibility in a work schedule that may include days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
Additional Duties
Submit names of team members for eligibility review.
Report statistics and assist with athletic documentation such as waivers, insurance, and travel policies.
Coordinate publicity with the Athletics office and report results to the media and YCCC Director of Marketing.
Assist in fundraising efforts within the Athletic Department.
Document and report injuries, travel and contest arrangements, and recruitment activities.
Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Ability to recruit and organize student‑athletes.
Experience teaching volleyball skills and creating a positive educational experience.
Demonstrated volleyball participation and/or coaching experience.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Ability to operate a YCCC vehicle.
