departments who are integral to our success. As part of the Subrogation department, the
Subrogation Specialist
will be responsible for investigating insurance claims to identify third parties liable for damages, gathering evidence, and recovering funds on behalf of LINECO. Reporting to the
Manager Special Member Services , you will focus on assessing liability, negotiating settlements with the at‑fault party or their insurer, documenting claims, and coordinating with legal teams.
This is a full time hourly position, the hourly range for this role is $26.00/hour to $29/hour depending on level of experience.

Ability to identify, investigate and gather information from a variety of sources
Examine claim files, gather evidence to determine if a third party is responsible for an insurance loss, and manage the claim investigative process in a timely manner
Use established guidelines and techniques such as conflict resolution, quality and effectiveness to respond to all inquiries
Assist in the recovery of over payments for duplicate coverage, worker’s compensation, and no‑fault claims from the at‑fault party or their insurance carrier to reimburse LINECO for claims paid
Maintain detailed records of investigations, findings, and settlement activities within the claims system.
Engage in negotiations with responsible parties or their legal representatives to reach favorable settlement agreements.
Coordinate with clients, other adjusters, legal teams, and third parties to ensure smooth communication and case management.
Adhere to industry regulations, such as HIPAA, and company policies and procedures.
Report status of all open claims to supervisor as needed
We’re excited about you because…
2‑3 years of personal injury paralegal experience strongly preferred
2‑3 years of subrogation experience in a fast‑paced environment and health and welfare funds
High School Degree / Associates Degree
Thorough knowledge of all types of auto subrogation claims including but not limited to personal auto, medical payments, personal injury protection, homeowner and medical malpractice
Experience working with medical terminology, attorneys, third party insurance providers, Medicare and union‑bargained benefits
Exceptional attention to detail for accurate investigations and record‑keeping
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust
Strong analytical, organizational, time management, and multi‑tasking skills in a fast‑paced environment
Ability to quickly adapt and shift priorities based on changing demands
Knowledge of insurance policies, laws, regulations, and industry practices
Proficiency with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, claims processing systems, and customer service software
