The Position We are seeking a skilled, detail-oriented Service Technician specializing in the reconditioning of imported vehicles, including but not limited to Acura, Volvo, Infiniti, Hyundai, and Genesis. The ideal candidate has strong diagnostic abilities, advanced technical knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include performing routine maintenance, inspecting inventory vehicles, and completing reconditioning work with manager approval—primarily on import brands, with some domestic vehicles as well.

Skills & Qualifications
Intermediate-level technicians (B/C-level); not entry-level/lube tech.
A5 Brakes (minimum requirement)
A4 Suspension & Steering (minimum requirement)
A1 Engine Repair (good-to-have, but not required)
A6 Electrical/Electronic Systems (good-to-have, but not required)
A7 Heating & A/C (good-to-have, but not required)
Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
Excellent communication skills.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform multi-point/safety and used-vehicle reconditioning inspections
Diagnose and complete required repairs to prepare vehicles for retail
Document findings and repair recommendations with accuracy and urgency
Receive repair orders from dispatcher and take to stall area.
Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repair as authorized.
Communicate with the Parts Department to obtain needed parts.
Tag and save parts, turn in parts, if the job is under warranty or if requested by the customer.
Advise service advisor immediately if any additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed with the promised time.
Document work performed.
Road-test vehicles to ensure repair has addressed the customer complaint.
Quality check work performed.
Attend training classes.
Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.
Ensure that customers’ vehicles are kept clean.
Administer safety and housekeeping policies and procedures.
Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations, governing service repair work.
Physical Requirements
The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employee is occasionally required to walk, sit, and talk or hear.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift weights up to 100 pounds.
