Role Overview
Join Amcor as a Manufacturing Specialist and play a key role in supporting all areas of the manufacturing plant to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe production operations. In this role, you’ll assist press crews, manage inks and materials, and help keep our facility running at its best through teamwork, organization, and continuous improvement.
Schedule
12-hour Night shift (7p-7a)
6 weeks working Monday-Wednesday, every other Sunday then
6 weeks Thursday-Saturday, every other Sunday
Switch front to back of week every 6 weeks
Compensation & Benefits
Pay: $21.07 + $2.50/hour night shift premium
Overtime: 1.5x pay for hours over 40 per week
401(k): Dollar-for-dollar match up to 8%

What You’ll Do
Support Environmental Health & Safety for the facility, following all current policies and procedures and make sure all aniloxes are inspected and cleaned upon removal from the press.
Communicate with press crews to see what aniloxes, blade holders, blades or any other parts they will need for the next job and what time they will need them.
Stage the ink for the next job at press.
Prepare, label and return the used ink after the job is finished.
Understand both chemical and mechanical procedures/operation of anilox cleaning.
Assist the press crew by cleaning decks, changing cylinders and aniloxes, and other tasks as needed to bring press back to production.
Operate electric forklift.
Maintain a neat and organized workplace.
Accurately complete all required paperwork.
Comply with all 5S and White Belt initiatives (cross training, moving to the work).
All other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
Assist machine operator in setting up machine.
Assist machine operator with cleanups/startups and shutdowns.
Change and clean cylinders.
Load rolls of stock material onto the unwinds using an overhead hoist system.
Remove rolls of finished material (jumbos) from the rewind using an overhead hoist system.
Prepare material to be properly stored and accurately returned to inventory.
Band return stock, empty cores, headers, start‑up rolls, and butt rolls.
Operate lift trucks and adhere to established power lift truck rules and guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a manufacturing environment.
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification is a plus.
Ability to distinguish color (must pass color vision test).
Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
Strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
Lean manufacturing experience desirable.
Forklift certification (or ability to obtain).
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand and walk for a 12‑hour shift.
Frequent reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, and twisting.
Frequent use of wrist and hands.
Frequent stepping up and down from platforms.
Exposure to a noise level above 85 decibels.
