Job Overview
People Analytics Data Architect Datadog The People Analytics Team at Datadog uses data to help our growing organization make better people decisions. As an Analytics Engineer, youll sit at the intersection of data modeling and stakeholder enablement, transforming raw people data into analytics?ready datasets, governed marts, and self?serve dashboards. Youll organize our employee data, ensuring that leaders and teams can easily understand and use information about our people. Responsibilities Build and maintain data models using analytics tools (e.g., dbt, Snowflake) that capture core people concepts (employee, org, movement, recruiting funnel, performance history). Partner with our central analytics tooling and HR Systems teams to build and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines for various HR data sources (e.g., Workday, Greenhouse, Docebo). Define and maintain a metrics layer to power dashboards and analytics in our dashboarding tools (e.g., Metabase, Tableau). Ensure quality, integrity, and reliability across all data assets and catalogs through testing, data governance, and monitoring. Design and implement security model and access controls for sensitive people data, balancing privacy and information needs using row? and column?level security.
Qualifications
3+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering, or similar roles with a focus on HR data. Advanced SQL skills and proficiency in building data models (dbt); comfortable with dimensional and event?based modeling. Experience with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery) and ingestion/orchestration tools (e.g., Airbyte, Airflow). Understanding of people systems (HRIS, ATS, LMS) and metrics used in people analytics. Experience working with BI and dashboarding tools such as Tableau, Metabase, Looker, etc. Strong stakeholder management skills to translate people data needs into durable solutions. Ability to maintain privacy, maturity and discretion while handling sensitive people data.
