The Senior Tax Associate will work closely with the team members, managers, and tax directors in the preparation of federal and state, corporate, and partnership tax returns, quarterly estimated payments, and the tax provision. This role provides the opportunity to leverage technology and AI tools to drive efficiency, accuracy, and strategic planning, and to assist with company-wide transformation efforts. The position also offers tax research and planning experience working on various tax projects and audit defense. Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation of federal consolidated tax returns. Participate in the implementation and optimization of tax technology platforms and AI-driven solutions. Focus on ongoing transformation efforts connected with corporate and division initiatives. Prepare federal and state partnership and LLC tax returns. Prepare and review multistate income and franchise tax returns (combined/unitary and separate state returns). Assist with the preparation and review of the Company’s consolidated quarterly and annual income tax provision calculations. Assist with IRS and state tax authority audits. Assist with the preparation and review of quarterly estimated income tax payments. Perform tax research and analysis on special projects as needed. Identify and implement federal and state tax planning opportunities. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of U.S. federal and state & local tax legislation and US GAAP financial statement reporting requirements for taxes (ASC 740). Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. CPA (or CPA candidate) preferred but not required. One to four years of federal and state income tax compliance experience in a public accounting or corporate environment. Strong tax compliance and problem‑solving skills, including account reconciliation and analysis of book/tax differences. Self‑motivated with a value‑added focus; proactive, efficient, and a strong team player. Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with tax compliance software (Corptax, Alteryx, Power BI) and AI applications a plus. Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Reliable, consistent, and punctual attendance. Physical & Office Requirements
This is primarily a sedentary office position. The Senior Tax Associate must be able to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move/carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary. Benefits
