Our law firm client is seeking an experienced Employment Law Associate to join their team and provide high-quality legal support to employer clients. The Employment Law Associate will provide counsel and representation to employers on a wide range of employment matters. This role involves advising clients on federal and state employment law compliance, assisting in government investigations, and representing clients in employment-related litigation.
Key Responsibilities
Advise employers on compliance with federal and state employment laws.
Represent clients in government investigations and litigation of employment claims.
Assist clients with wage and hour issues, workplace safety, restrictive covenants, discrimination, retaliation, disability accommodations, family and medical leave, and employee separations.
Draft, review, and negotiate employment agreements, policies, and related documents.
Conduct legal research and provide guidance on emerging employment law trends.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop practical solutions for clients.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active bar admission in Florida.
Minimum 2 years of experience in employment law, with a focus on employer-side matters.
Experience advising on employee relations, policies, compliance, and litigation.
Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
Must meet a billable hours requirement of 1,900 hours per year.
Ability to manage multiple matters efficiently in a hybrid work environment.
Salary and Other Compensation The annual salary for this position is between
$130,000 – $180,000 annually . Factors which may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
