Radius Health is a global biopharmaceutical company dedicated to bone health and related therapeutic areas. We are seeking a field‑based Medical Science Liaison/Senior MSL for the Northern California region (San Francisco Bay area). This role may be considered at a Senior MSL level based on experience.
Job Summary As a therapeutic/disease expert, you will develop and maintain professional relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and healthcare decision makers in the osteoporosis marketplace to improve patient outcomes. You will provide accurate, evidence‑based information about Radius Health products and competitive options, in alignment with regulatory and company policies.
Essential Responsibilities
Map, identify, profile, and prioritize KOLs and decision makers using defined systems.
Build and maintain strong scientific KOL relationships through consistent communication and discussion of current literature and approved resources.
Identify and support potential sites for Phase II–IV studies as required.
Stay informed about emerging evidence and engage stakeholders through conferences, journal clubs, webinars, and advisory boards.
Respond to unsolicited medical information requests and Investigator‑Sponsored Study (ISS) inquiries, supporting internal processes.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to distribute scientific insight and support the Medical Affairs strategy.
Deliver effective clinical presentations tailored to audiences.
Provide MSL learning series presentations and assist in organizing educational meetings or advisory boards.
Support speaker training to ensure continued scientific support.
Communicate research, preclinical, clinical, and healthcare trends to guide strategy.
Plan day‑to‑day interactions, setting frequency of engagements per stakeholder per year to meet objectives.
Develop territory engagement plans aligned with the medical strategy and support execution.
Use approved scientific data during KOL interactions.
Experience and Qualifications
3–5+ years of MSL experience in osteoporosis or metabolic bone disease (preferred).
Doctorate degree (PharmD, PhD, or MD) with clinical or therapeutic experience.
Master’s degree with 3+ years related pharmaceutical/biotech experience (considered).
Skills and Preferences
Excellent communication and networking skills.
Deep knowledge of osteoporosis; experience with integrated delivery systems.
Understanding of clinical care pathways and decision making.
Knowledge of FDA, HIPAA and other regulatory guidelines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Strategic thinker and comfortable working with academia.
Field‑based role with up to 70% travel.
Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and acceptable background check.
Work Environment The role is primarily remote with mandatory in‑person meetings, travel, and occasional home office. Reasonable accommodations may be made.
