Duties & Responsibilities We invite applications for a project administrator position as the Database Manager in the Psychology Department at Virginia Commonwealth University, working with Dr. Michael Southam-Gerow and the Center for Evidence-based Partnerships in Virginia (CEP‑Va; www.cep‑va.org/). The position is funded by state contracts.

The focus of the position is to manage the databases underlying several online tools developed for the state of Virginia that serve as the source of truth for evidence‑based and other behavioural health programs available in the state. Key roles will include (a) coordinating with the technology company to build out the tools for new capabilities; (b) data collection, data entry, and data management (to include ongoing contact with provider companies); (c) communication with providers across the state; and (d) report preparation and distribution. Duties will require strong technical and database skills, attention to detail, strong teamwork orientation, commitment to completion of assigned tasks in a timely manner, and ability to communicate data‑based findings to a broad audience. The position may involve some travel (reimbursable) around the state of Virginia to present findings to partners.

Funding & Renewal The position is funded until 06/30/2026, with an anticipated renewal for one year; the ideal candidate will be interested in two or more years in the role.

Team The CEP‑Va team includes faculty, doctoral‑, masters‑, and bachelors‑level staff, graduate and undergraduate student students, and other collaborators.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in social work, psychology, or behavioural health related field, or equivalent experience.

Strong data analytics and data management skills.

Strong organisational skills and fastidious attention to detail.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Openness and willingness to engage in team discussions related to social justice.

Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree or higher in social work, psychology, or behavioural health related field, or equivalent experience.

Certification in project management.

Learning related to implementation science within medical or behavioural health services.

Familiarity with ReTool and/or other relational database tools.

Interest and appreciation for innovative online tools and digital workspaces (e.g., Slack, Hive).

Knowledge of and/or experience with evidence‑based treatment programs.

Experience managing high‑volume communication and follow‑up.

Salary Range $60,000 – $70,000
