Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate tutoring schedules, maintain student and tutor records, and assist with program planning for Upward Bound.
  • Compile data for federal reporting and the Upward Bound Annual Performance Report.
  • Maintain and input data into the BLUMEN database for program participants.
  • Coordinate clerical support for professional staff, including scheduling summer classes, arranging meetings, and managing mail.
  • Assist with staff travel documents, agenda items for meetings, and follow‑up on action items.
  • Provide responsive support to students, parents, and school staff.
  • Perform typing, editing, and proofreading of documents; prepare correspondences and agendas.

Qualifications

  • Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred: At least two years’ experience, good organizational skills, typing, computer, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Physical Demands

Ability to work in an office environment including sitting at a computer for long periods of time and lifting boxes of files.
