is seeking an experienced
Accountant
for a hybrid contract-to-hire opportunity in
Seattle, WA . This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong technical accounting skills and a proactive approach to process improvement. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys working across departments to ensure accurate financial reporting. Key Responsibilities: Perform day-to-day accounting activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close
Prepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with GAAP
Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial data
Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
Assist with audit preparation and respond to auditor inquiries
Manage accruals, prepaids, and fixed assets schedules
Process and review accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expense reports as needed
Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business operations and financial transparency
Contribute to process improvements and assist with system enhancements or implementations
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
3+ years of professional accounting experience
Strong understanding of US GAAP and month-end close processes
Proficiency in Excel and accounting software such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle
Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and communicate financial data effectively
CPA or CPA candidate preferred
Schedule: Hybrid work model (3 days onsite in Seattle, 2 remote per week)
