Job Overview
ECU Health Children u2019s Hospital is the only tertiary facility in eastern North Carolina designed especially for pediatric patients and includes ECMO and pediatric surgery programs. Clinical responsibilities when providing coverage at ECU Health North Hospital will include rounding and coordination of care from admission to discharge for all newborn patients and attendance all at risk deliveries and participation in the resuscitation, stabilization, and transfer of critically ill neonates as needed ECU Health Physicians includes an academic practice model (ECU employment) and a community practice model (health system employment). There is shared leadership and shared services to support the overall group and to ensure alignment for clinical care, research, education and strategy. This innovative structure creates opportunities within ECU Health Physicians ranging from acute to ambulatory, academic practice to community practice, regional to rural, and everything in between.
Position Highlights Highlights include: Employment by ECU Health Physicians Growing 9-hospital physician-led healthcare system Schedule includes (12)- 24 hour unrestricted call shifts at a regional facility and 16 days off per month Provider will return to Maynard Children Hospital quarterly for continued competency and skills maintenance with the newborn and NICU teams Transfer support provided by ECU Health Medical Center PNP-AC, NNP or Physician Assistant- (At least 2 years of NICU Experience for PA) NC RN licensure & NC Nurse Practitioner or NC licensure as a Physician Assistant 2+ years of experience in health care setting Benefits Competitive Compensation and Comprehensive Benefits to include: Administrative Stipend, Relocation, PTO, Malpractice/Tail Coverage, 401k matching/457, Medical, Dental & Vision, Disability & Life Insurance.
