The Company is seeking a Vice President of Business Development & Strategy to play a pivotal role in the formulation and execution of its North American growth strategy. This senior leadership position demands a seasoned commercial operator with a strong background in the North American fuel industry, particularly in retail and wholesale fuel distribution. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the full life cycle of M&A projects and driving significant organic growth initiatives that extend the business beyond its core operations. Key responsibilities include contributing to strategic plans, conducting market research, and developing relationships with the industry and investment communities to identify and evaluate external opportunities. The role also involves close collaboration with commercial business units and the executive leadership team to ensure the alignment of growth strategies with the company's overall objectives. Applicants for the Vice President of Business Development & Strategy role at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' experience managing a commercial unit with operations and/or P&L responsibility, and 5 to 7 years in corporate development roles within fast-paced, multi-national, multi-segment companies. A Bachelor's degree in a business-related field is required, with a Master's degree preferred. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of professional excellence, the highest level of leadership and management skills, and experience or relationships with investment banking, venture capital, or private equity. Strategic thinking, analytical capabilities, and in-depth knowledge of the North American fuel industry are essential, as are strong negotiation, relationship management, and communication skills. The role demands a leader who can thrive in an entrepreneurial and culturally diverse environment, and who is committed to driving sustained growth through innovative thinking and efficient execution.
