Purpose of this position:

This position will bill for Behavioral Health and FQHC services. This position is located in the Fiscal Department of the Agency and reports directly to the Billing Supervisor and/or designee.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Current knowledge of regulatory changes affecting billing and educating of clinicians and Supervisor on changes. Knowledge of Primary Care insurance billing/procedures Knowledge of Microsoft office; principally Excel Perform claim follow-up to resolve any open balances Prepare and submit clean claims to third parties electronically or by paper Assist with any projects on an as needed basis Established procedure, precedents and department policies/procedures will be trained. Knowledge and application of judgement in these areas required.

Qualifications

:

Minimum 3 years' experience with managing accounts receivable in a Primary Care medical setting required Knowledge of billing regulations for various primary care insurers High school diploma or equivalency and one year of responsible experience may be substituted for required training course Application of good grammar and use of English is expected
