Full-Time Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced
Bookkeeper
to join our team in New Brighton. This role is ideal for someone who has worked in
property management
or at an
accounting firm handling books for multiple clients . The Bookkeeper will be responsible for a wide range of accounting duties, supporting financial operations and ensuring accuracy across accounts. Key Responsibilities:
Accounting Duties: Manage
Accounts Receivable
and
Accounts Payable
Perform
Bank Reconciliations
Follow up on
delinquent accounts
Collaborate with
property managers
for financial follow-ups
Analyze accounting options and recommend financial actions
Review AR to determine next steps
Review AP for coding and scope of work verification
Understand and analyze
Balance Sheets
and
Profit & Loss Statements
Suggest and implement accounting procedures and policies
Streamline AR and AP processes
Ensure timely and accurate
month-end processing
Assist with
internal audits
and
year-end reporting
Support
tax preparation
Operational Support:
Coordinate with accounting clerical staff and answer relevant questions
Maintain and organize financial data and backups
Prepare payments and verify documentation
Ensure compliance with
GAAP
and legal financial requirements
Communicate effectively with customers (AR) and vendors (AP)
Qualifications: Two-year accounting degree
or equivalent relevant experience
Experience in
property management accounting
or
multi-client bookkeeping
Proficiency in
accounting software
and
Excel
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Ability to analyze financial data and perform accurate computations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated and proactive with a customer-focused mindset
