Description Conduct thorough evaluations for diverse age groups including pediatric, adult, and geriatric clients utilizing standardized assessments and observatory methods. Create tailored treatment plans that effectively target immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs. Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions concentrating on areas such as communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing. Work side by side with physical and occupational therapists, physicians, nurses, caregivers, and families to devise integrated care approaches. Provide educational initiatives for patients and families to support their progress between appointments. Engage in occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and treatments, ensuring seamless care throughout the patients' recovery journey. Maintain precise and timely documentation in alignment with state, federal, and organizational standards. Commit to lifelong learning and professional development through continuous education and team collaboration. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not presently ASHA-certified. Certifications
Possess state licensure as a
Speech Language Pathologist . Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire. Skills
Expertise in evidence-based therapy methods across all age categories, with a solid grasp of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing issues.
