Description Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing standardized assessments and observational methods. Create individualized treatment plans that target both immediate objectives and long-range communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals. Implement one-on-one speech therapy interventions emphasizing communication, language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques. Partner with a multidisciplinary team inclusive of physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, family members, and caregivers to align care strategies. Provide education to patients and their families to facilitate therapy progress outside of clinical appointments. Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and speech therapy treatment sessions, ensuring a seamless care continuum. Uphold consistent, accurate documentation that adheres to state, federal, and organizational standards. Engage in ongoing professional development through continuing education and collaborative peer interactions. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA. Certifications
Valid state licensure as a
Speech Language Pathologist . Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within the first month of employment. Skills
Expertise in evidence-based therapeutic approaches for all age ranges, with in-depth knowledge of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Strong interpersonal communication abilities to engage effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
