Job Responsibilities Perform assessments for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing both standardized tests and observational evaluations. Create individualized treatment plans aimed at achieving both short-term objectives and enduring communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals. Conduct personalized one-on-one speech therapy focused on improving communication, language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing capabilities. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team that includes physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and family members to ensure integrated care plans. Provide educational resources for patients and families to enhance their progress outside the therapy context. Participate in occasional inpatient therapy assessments and interventions, maintaining seamless continuity of care throughout treatment. Uphold accurate and prompt documentation that complies with all state, federal, and organizational guidelines. Engage in continuous professional development through training and collaboration with peers. Education Requirements
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. A completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not yet been attained. Certifications
State licensure as a
Speech Language Pathologist . Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire. Desired Skills
