The AWS Startup Solutions Architecture team is focused on supporting startups in building their business. We guide them in deploying scalable, secure, reliable, and efficient architectures while minimizing costs and maximizing impact. In this role, you will interact with a diverse array of customers across several industries, including AI/ML, Healthcare, FinTech, and ClimateTech, aiding them in making informed and pragmatic technical choices. You will build lasting relationships with these startups and their founders, establishing yourself as a trusted advisor. Aside from engaging directly with customers, you will have the opportunity to enhance your own skills. With over 200 AWS services available, it’s essential that you help startups leverage the most appropriate solutions for their needs. As a customer advocate, you will communicate valuable feedback to our product teams, ensuring we develop the right products and features for the startups you assist. This position also offers numerous opportunities to share your expertise through the creation of technical content and presentations at industry events. Responsibilities Assist a variety of startups in adopting the right architecture for their growth phase. Guide startups in designing scalable, reliable, and secure solutions. Facilitate the use of a wide range of AWS services to enhance business value and accelerate growth. Influence the development and roadmap of AWS services by connecting customer insights with our engineering teams. Build and nurture technical relationships within the startup ecosystem, including accelerators, incubators, and venture capitalists. Create startup-specific technical materials, such as blog posts, sample code, and solutions, addressing common technical challenges and expediting time-to-market. Basic Qualifications 5+ years of relevant experience in technology domains (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data analytics). 5+ years of experience in design, implementation, or consulting for applications and infrastructure. 5+ years in IT development or consulting within the software or Internet industries. Preferred Qualifications Proficient at communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences, including executives and clients. 5+ years of hands-on experience with AI/ML solutions, including rule-based systems, machine learning models, and emerging technologies in Agentic AI. Our competitive compensation is reflective of labor costs across various US markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,200/year in our lowest geographic market to $239,000/year in our highest. Compensation is determined by multiple factors, including market location, and may vary based on skills, experience, and job-related knowledge.
