JARS Help Desk Technician
Location: JARS Corporate Office
Pay Rate: $23.50/hour
Job Type: Full-Time
About the Role JARS Cannabis is seeking a
Help Desk Technician
to provide frontline technical support for our retail stores and corporate office. This position plays a key role in keeping our technology running smoothly, including POS systems, hardware, networking, and user accounts. Key Responsibilities
Provide first-level
IT support and technical assistance
for end users across multiple locations.
Respond to help desk tickets and resolve issues via
Freshservice or other ticketing systems .
Troubleshoot and repair hardware and software, including
POS systems, printers, tablets, laptops, and scanners .
Manage
user account setup , password resets, MFA, and
role-based access controls (RBAC) .
Configure and maintain
workstations, inventory stations, and print servers
remotely.
Support basic
networking issues
(device connectivity, static IP configuration, printer setups).
Monitor
network dashboards (Unifi or similar)
and escalate infrastructure issues when required.
Document resolutions, maintain SOPs, and contribute to the internal knowledge base.
Partner with senior IT staff for escalated or advanced troubleshooting.
Schedule Training Schedule (Temporary):
Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Permanent Schedule:
Wednesday - Friday | 1:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Saturday - Sunday | 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Qualifications
1+ year of experience in
IT support, helpdesk, or desktop support
(preferred, but not required).
Knowledge of
Windows operating systems, hardware troubleshooting, and networking fundamentals .
Strong
customer service and communication skills
with the ability to guide non-technical users.
Familiarity with
ticketing systems (Freshservice, Zendesk, ServiceNow, or similar) .
Experience with
POS systems and retail technology
is a plus.
Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
