Automotive General Manager needed in the Staten Island, NY market for well-established store. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity within a well-established dealer group seeking a General Manager who is fully invested in store success and capable of creating long-term, sustainable growth. The automotive General Manager hired will be variable focused and responsible for implementing effective processes, maintaining strong desk presence, and ensuring that the sales and BDC teams are working leads the right way every day while collaborating seamlessly.

With a major marketing initiative launching, the dealership is poised for significant growth and requires a leader who can capitalize on new opportunities, drive performance, and elevate results across the store.

The ideal candidate combines sharp sales acumen with a proven track record of leading dealerships to success. This individual is hands-on at the desk, committed to process, and invested in building a positive, performance-based culture where teams are motivated to achieve at the highest level.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee inventory management including ordering, vehicle mix, pricing, merchandising, and aged inventory strategies. Install, refine, and enforce proven sales and operational processes. Direct and coach sales managers while monitoring daily sales performance, lead conversion rates, and closing ratios. Ensure BDC and sales teams maximize leads daily and work in alignment. Drive sales performance while cultivating a team-oriented environment. Leverage a large-scale marketing initiative to boost growth and profitability. Be active on the desk Foster a positive, high-performance culture built on results and collaboration. Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve dealership sales and profitability targets Set and manage monthly and annual sales goals for new and used vehicles Track and analyze key metrics across sales, BDC, and inventory to maximize profitability and operational efficiency. Set high standards for customer service and ensure a seamless, professional buying experience. Handle escalated customer concerns and implement strategies to improve CSI scores. Partner with department leaders to align operations, optimize stock, and support overall dealership growth. Other duties as assigned. Compensation:

Compensation will commensurate with experience and performance but anticipated earnings are in the $300,000++ range for the successful candidate.
