LHH is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Legal Billing Specialist to join our client's team in San Diego, CA. This hybrid role involves managing client billing and receivables, ensuring accuracy in payment tracking, and providing outstanding support to attorneys, clients, and staff. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong professional relationships. The anticipated salary for this role is between $65,000-$85,000 per year.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the main point of contact for overdue invoice payments, tracking all client communications.

• Respond to emails and calls from attorneys, clients, billers, and staff regarding billing and payment matters.

• Collaborate with billing specialists to understand client billing requirements and troubleshoot issues (e.g., rejections, missing invoices, expense backup).

• Communicate and escalate billing disputes or early warning signs of payment issues to the Director of Billing, Collections Supervisor, or assigned AR Specialist.

• Prepare periodic status reports for assigned clients.

• Provide backup support for the cash posting group, including payment research, allocation, and documentation.

• Assist with daily deposits, scanning, and filing.

• Handle queries regarding payments, invoices, statements, and electronic payment onboarding.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in receivables, collections, cash receipt applications, and customer service.

• Aderant experience highly preferred.

• Strong confidentiality, discretion, and professional judgment.

• Positive attitude with excellent relationship-building skills across teams and departments.

• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and follow-up abilities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with intermediate knowledge of Word and Excel.

Pay Details:

$65,000.00 to $85,000.00 per year
