AR/billing Accountant

LHH is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable/Billing Accountant to join our client's finance team.
Multi State Tax Experience is required.
The ideal candidate can work independently, stay organized, and interact professionally with clients to ensure accurate billing and timely payments. The anticipated salary for this role is between $50,000-$60,000 a year.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and issue accurate invoices to customers.
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on overdue payments through collection calls.
• Handle sales tax calculation, reporting, and compliance.
• Make dispatch calls to coordinate shipments and communicate with clients regarding order status.
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records of billing, collections, and communications with clients.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities as needed.
Qualifications:
• 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or accounting roles preferred.
• Strong understanding of sales tax rules and reporting requirements.
• Experience with Salesforce, Accounting Seed, and Avalara Tax.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills for collection and dispatch calls.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree not required .
