Role Highlights Conduct evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing both standardized assessments and keen observational skills. Create tailored treatment programs aimed at short-term objectives while addressing long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges. Implement individualized speech therapy techniques centered on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing improvements. Team up with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop seamless care strategies. Provide education to patients and families to enhance progress beyond the confines of clinical interactions. Assist with periodic inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring a holistic approach to care throughout the healing journey. Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and organizational standards. Stay engaged with the latest practices in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers. Qualifications
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Required Certifications
State licensure as a
Speech Language Therapist . Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment. Essential Skills
Expertise in evidence-based treatment methods for all age ranges, with comprehensive knowledge of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Outstanding communication skills with a focus on collaboration among patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams.
