Workdays: Monday - Friday

Summary:

The Project Facilitator will assist in the implementation of programming that support efforts toward the CCAOSA's Sewing for Success initiative to promote the development of skills required to enter the garment /textile industries for eligible program clients.

Position

Responsibilities:

• *Assist in planning and facilitating the use of the workforce development labs to support special projects towards CCAOSA's Sewing for Success client training initiatives.

• *Assist in leading classes that promote the development of skills needed for entering garment production industries.

• *Provide hands-on guidance, training, and safety instruction on use of sewing lab equipment for participants of varying skill level.

• *Maintain, organize, and inventory sewing lab equipment, make request for supplies as needed.

• *Assist with department and agency projects that promote further workforce development initiatives that help sustain programmatic goals.

• *Track program attendance, lab usage, and project outcomes through appropriate data bases.

• Contact clients on a regular basis to remind students about classes and commitment to the program.

• Ability to drive and transport clients in agency approved vehicle/passenger van.

• Collaborate with program staff to support class schedules and student progress.

• Offer feedback to improve individual skill development and group outcomes.

• Must be sensitive to the service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.

• Adhere to safety training and protocols on a daily basis, and taking precautionary measure to ensure the safety and well-being of self, others.

• Responsible for protecting the confidentiality of any information or material obtained in the service with the organization to include but not limited to client names and information, services rendered to clients, donors names and gifts, internal and external investigations or results of any investigations, and financial information.

• Adherence to the Code of Conduct and the Faith and Moral is mandatory.

• Other duties as assigned by the Associate Senior Director or Vice President of Programs.

Minimum

Qualifications:

• Education

Two Year Associates degree or verifiable training related to garment/textile/fiber arts production preferred. • Experience

Experience in a teaching, vocational, or nonprofit setting is a plus. Experience in teaching or mentoring others in a classroom or workshop setting. • License and Credentials

Reliable transportation Valid driver license Valid vehicle insurance Clean Driving Record Minimum Knowledge and Skills:

Proficiency in sewing machinery and tools. Ability to read and interpret sewing patterns accurately. Strong understanding in garment construction & assembly. Excellent communication skills and a patient, encouraging teaching style. Must be detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, work well independently and on a team; Must have good written and verbal skills; Must have good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
