Volunteer with kittens in Escondido!

Kitten Rescue Life currently has volunteer opportunities at the PetSmart Escondido adoption center. We place adoption-ready kittens there in hopes of finding homes for them. We rely on our growing volunteer team to help operate the center... and that’s where you come in! We’re required to have volunteers in the center at least twice a day. Volunteers are welcome to stay longer, but each visit typically lasts for one hour. Our shifts are not set in stone, so they’re flexible to accommodate even the busiest of schedules. Each volunteer typically covers 2-4 shifts per month (once a week or bi-weekly.) If you’re able to help more that’s always welcome! Morning shifts usually start anytime between 7am and 9am. PM shifts are a little more flexible, and can begin anytime between around 3pm and 8pm. (Ex: a shift starting at 7am would end around 8am) While at the center, volunteers are responsible for helping with certain tasks. Tasks include but are not limited to: Letting the kittens out for playtime Refilling food and water dishes Sweeping and/or mopping Cleaning litter boxes Sanitizing Occasionally interact with people who are curious about adoption Volunteers are allowed to bring their children as long as they’re monitored at all times. Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.
