Controller (Full-Time)

Location:

Downtown Los Angeles

Compensation : $100,000.00- $120,000.00 annually

Our client, a non-profit based in Downtown Los Angeles, is looking to hire an Accounting Manager. The Accounting Manager oversees daily accounting operations and financial planning, ensuring strong internal controls and fiscal health across three nonprofit entities. This leadership role supports strategic decision-making and organizational sustainability.

Key Responsibilities: Lead and optimize accounting operations (GL, payroll, A/P, A/R)

Supervise finance staff and manage departmental performance

Collaborate with CFO on process improvements and internal controls

Prepare and interpret financial reports; oversee audits and budgets

Support financial strategy, planning, and risk management

Ensure compliance with investor reporting and contractual obligations

Partner with leadership on long-term financial planning and capital development

Qualifications:

Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or Business

10+ years in accounting, budgeting, and financial planning

Experience in affordable housing, mortgage, or real estate lending a plus

Nonprofit experience preferred

Pay Details:

$100,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year
