Lead Benefits Coordinator

We are in search of a Lead Benefits Coordinator to help support the growth of our benefits department in HR. In this impactful role, you will be the go-to resource for employee benefit inquiries while ensuring compliance with all relevant policies. Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure a smooth operation of our health, retirement, and wellness programs. Responsibilities Act as the primary point of contact for all employee benefit questions and problem resolution. Oversee the daily administration of health, retirement (401k), and voluntary benefit programs. Ensure data accuracy in Workday, manage life event processing, and uphold compliance with ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, and COBRA. Work closely with Payroll and vendors to manage 401(k) enrollments, contributions, and audits. Lead the coordination of benefit communications, open enrollment periods, and new hire onboarding sessions. Manage wellness initiatives and employee recognition programs, as well as vendor reimbursements. Prepare and review invoices, check requests, and related documentation to ensure accuracy. Handle confidential employee information discreetly and professionally. Deliver outstanding customer service to both employees and internal partners. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in benefits administration or employee support. Comprehensive understanding of benefits regulations (ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, COBRA, FMLA). Proficient in advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, charts); experience with data visualization preferred. Familiarity with Workday or similar HRIS. Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and effective communication skills. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
