This role involves the oversight of media relations, press strategies, and digital platforms, along with driving effective crisis communications to safeguard our institution's reputation. Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with an advanced degree highly preferred, and bring a minimum of 12 years of experience in athletics administration, communications, marketing, or external affairs. We are looking for a proven leader with extensive experience managing large, diverse teams, coupled with exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Key responsibilities include proactively storytelling to highlight student-athlete successes, coaching, and community impact, as well as pioneering innovations in digital strategy and enhancing the fan experience. Collaboration with various units to support departmental revenue goals will be crucial, with a strong emphasis on data-driven efforts in development, sponsorship, and ticket sales.
