PGS Worldwide is hiring an
Electronics Assembler
in
Archbald, PA
for a
12-month contract-to-hire
position. This
first-shift role (Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM-4:30 PM EST)
involves hands-on assembly of circuit cards, harnesses, and complex electro-mechanical components for mission-critical aerospace and defense applications.
Required Skills
High School Diploma
or
technical degree 2-5 years of circuit card assembly experience
in a manufacturing environment Minimum
2 years of soldering experience
(IPC standards preferred) Proficiency in
hand soldering
for both
surface mount (SMT)
and
through-hole
components Experience reading and interpreting
diagrams, schematics, and operation sheets Ability to work under magnification and perform
micro and sub-miniature soldering Capable of
multi-tasking , maintaining focus, and meeting production schedules Ability to
sit or stand for extended periods
and lift up to
40 lbs
safely Preferred Skills
Experience in
aerospace, defense, or high-reliability electronics manufacturing Familiarity with
laser wire strippers ,
coax processing equipment , and
precision harness assembly Knowledge of
circuit card coating , rework, and inspection techniques Understanding of
IPC-A-610
and
J-STD-001
workmanship standards Strong collaboration skills with engineers, technicians, and quality teams Responsibilities
Perform
repetitive and non-repetitive assembly operations
on electronic and mechanical components Assemble, install, and terminate
complex wiring harnesses and circuit cards Operate specialized tools such as
laser wire strippers
and
coax wire processing equipment Conduct
detailed soldering
of micro and sub-miniature parts using magnification tools Perform
continuity checks
and quality inspections during and after assembly Read and follow
work instructions, schematics, and diagrams
accurately Maintain
clean and organized workstations
in compliance with ESD and safety standards Contribute to
continuous improvement efforts
and support production goals
