The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for verifying and keeping records of incoming and outgoing shipments. The role will prepare and schedule items for shipment and compare information on shipments against the Bill of Lading, invoices, orders, or other records, including counts, weights, or measurements. Responsibilities

Determine method of shipment using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates Affix shipping labels on packed cartons or identify shipping information on cartons Assemble wooden or cardboard containers or preassemble containers Insert items into containers using spacers, fillers and protective padding Plan and monitor everyday shipments and reduce documentation discrepancies Ensure on-time shipment and documentation; book and monitor shipments from origin to destination Receive incoming orders and maintain records in the computer via data entry Verify information from Bill of Ladings, invoices, and orders against actual shipments Keep records of shortages and damages and address issues to rectify them Operate forklift trucks or pallet jacks as needed Adhere to company policies, procedures and ethics code Qualifications

Education

High School Diploma or GED preferred; equivalent related experience or proven mechanical aptitude may be considered Associates Degree or Trade/Technical School is desired Experience

1 – 3+ years of direct experience Position may be filled with both entry-level and experienced candidates Skills

Forklift Shipping via LTL and FTL Coordinating with freight forwarders Ability to track and trace Shipping via FedEx, UPS, and DHL Shipping domestically and internationally Basic computer skills Preferred Experience

1 – 3 years in a shipping/logistics/coordinator role Other Requirements

Must be authorized to work in the United States Extended or irregular hours may be required Elevate Aircraft Seating is an at-will employer; employment is at mutual consent and may be terminated at any time Employees may be asked to react to changing conditions and perform other essential tasks Tasks may vary slightly based on products produced at a division Compensation & Benefits

Hourly rate: $18 - $22 per hour. Elevate Aircraft Seating offers competitive wages and benefits. Base pay varies by knowledge, skills, location, experience, and internal equity.
