OVERVIEW
We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments in a timely and efficient manner.
TOP THREE PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
Accurately gathers product, verifies all aspects of shipment, labels, and packs materials for shipment with use of ERP System or other shipping/receiving software.
Accurately receives and inspects incoming shipments of contents and documentation with use of ERP system or other shipping/receiving software.
Unload and load trucks using forklift, pallet jack, or other equipment as needed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Accurately creates shipping labels with various carriers
Accurately creates bill of ladings
Packs and secures shipments according to department guidelines.
Accurately pulls orders
Accurately stores products
Ability to grab products off shelves with the use of ladder/rolling stairs, forklift, etc.
Counting and boxing of products for stock
Inventory control of shipping supplies (Boxes, Tape, Product Labels, Cards/Pamphlets, etc.)
Locates and collects material on released packing lists using FIFO inventory methods.
Processes shipments using Jobboss, UPS, FedEx, DHL, or another shipping platform.
Performs daily workstation end-of-day procedures.
Maintains a clean, organized, and well-stocked workstation.
Receives incoming shipments and processes them for appropriate company/employee.
Prepares packages for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
Pick and pack orders according to customer specifications.
Assist with stock replenishment and cycle counting as needed.
Ensures that all incoming metal products have MTR’s and that the heat lot number is added to the receiver.
Ensures that all incoming non‑COT’s material have the proper Certificate of Conformance from the supplier.
Any other warehouse functions needed depending on the workload.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School degree required; College degree/some college is plus.
5-7 years in shipping and receiving.
Is well versed in shipping software.
Must read and write English.
Basic arithmetic.
Have storing and packing experience.
Work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to pivot to other tasks as needed.
Ability to lift heavy objects (50lbs)
Basic computer knowledge
Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is preferred
Familiarity with order fulfillment processes
Knowledge of warehouse operations and procedures
