Logistics Coordinator (Import & Export / Air & Ocean) Monday - Friday 8am- 5pm

Position Overview The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day management, coordination, and execution of all domestic and international freight movements.

Job Duties

Provide exceptional customer service by organizing and prioritizing work to ensure that deadlines are met

Manage day-to-day workflow and communication relating to any/all shipments

Manage routes and schedules of local truck drivers to ensure that materials are picked up and delivered in a timely manner

Coordinate and execute domestic and international shipments

Track inbound and outbound freight movements both domestically and internationally

Prepare domestic and international shipping documents (Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Shipping Labels, AWB, BOL, COO, COC, SLI, etc.)

Ensure proper compliance procedures are being followed and all necessary paperwork is submitted (EEI filings, export licenses, etc.)

Ensure shipments are cleared in a timely fashion and in compliance with US rules and regulations by working closely with customs brokers

Follow appropriate procedures for handling and transportation of hazardous materials (DOT, IATA, IMO, etc.)

Maintain product SDS sheets and certifications

Maintain record keeping of shipments for compliance purposes

Keep up to date on current events or legislation that may affect shipping carriers, routes, and rates

Quickly resolve problems related to shipping and logistics

Maintain relationships with domestic and international 3PL companies

Evaluate carriers and negotiate contracts and rates

Submit and track carrier claims

Review records for accuracy

Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of export documentation required

Knowledge of Incoterms

Knowledge of Harmonized Codes

Cargowise or Magaya experience is a BIG PLUS

Bilingual - a plus (English and Spanish)
