Mechanical Design Engineer

Selectek is partnering with a firm in Sandy Springs, Georgia to hire a Mechanical Design Engineer  on a contract-to-direct basis. Candidates will design flight-worthy structures and electromechanical systems, conduct tolerance, stress, and thermal analyses, conduct trade studies, and ensure designs are suited for manufacturability. Employment Type: Contract-to-Direct Location: Sandy Springs, GA Expected Pay Range: Hourly equivalent to $43- $55/hour before permanent conversion depending on experience and certification. Requirements: •   Bachelor of Science in engineering •   More than five years’ experience using SOLIDWORKS for design •   More than five years’ experience in FEA with proficiency using NASTRAN or ANSYS •   Experience with the ASME pressure vessel code and welding of metal alloys Preferred: •   Previous experience developing, testing or supporting aircraft systems is HIGHLY preferred. •   CSWP Certification (Certified Solidworks Professional) In addition to these requirements, candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as Selectek is unable to provide sponsorship or work visa documentation.
