Selectek is partnering with a firm in Norcross, GA to hire a Manufacturing Engineer  on a contract-to-direct basis. The ideal candidate will be a true “jack of all trades”— resourceful, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across disciplines to support both day-to-day operations and in some cases larger technical projects. Employment Type: Contract-to-Direct Location: Norcross, GA Expected Pay Range: Hourly equivalent to $40- $57/hour before permanent conversion depending on experience and certification. Requirements: 10 plus years in engineering supporting manufacturing in a similar role Solidworks or other 3D CAD software experience Experience with: drill press, chop saw, band saw, hydraulic press and basic hand tools. In addition to these requirements, candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as Selectek is unable to provide sponsorship or work visa documentation. Job Order Details:  Design Engineering ·    Develop and refine 3D CAD models, assemblies, and detailed drawings using SolidWorks.  ·    Perform engineering analyses and weight load tests (stress, thermal, tolerance, DFM/DFA). ·    Select appropriate materials and manufacturing methods. Create engineering documentation including BOMs and specifications. ·    Support prototype builds, verification and validation testing, and product certification ·    Experience in GMP’S, FDA, OSHA, UL/ETL, NFPA 99 and ISO/Q9000/13485  Manufacturing Support ·    Provide hands-on engineering support to resolve production issues. ·    Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures. ·    Create and update work instructions, SOPs, and process documentation. ·    Lead root cause investigations and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA). ·    Implement continuous improvement initiatives. ·    Collaborate with suppliers to ensure part quality and manufacturability.  Cross-Functional Collaboration ·    Work closely with production, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth product launches and reliable operations. ·    Partner with customers and internal stakeholders to align design intent with manufacturing capabilities. ·    Support cost reduction efforts through design improvements and process optimization.
