Molecular Pathologist – Assistant/Associate/Full Professor (Clinical X / Health Sciences Clinical Professor)
Salary Range: $210,000 – $409,700. Membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan.
About the Position The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of California, Davis seeks a dynamic faculty member to serve as a Molecular Pathologist at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank in the Clinical (X) or Health Sciences Clinical Professor (HSCP) series. The position reports to the Director of Clinical Pathology and will serve as an operational leader, providing strategic vision and collaborative implementation to enhance the department's Molecular Pathology Division and laboratory testing.
Responsibilities
Clinical, technical, and scientific directorship of division staff and laboratory personnel.
Supervise molecular laboratory operations and participate in test reporting and new test development.
Contribute to quality assurance and accreditation activities.
Teach and supervise housestaff and medical students; participate in interdisciplinary conferences and curriculum development.
Engage in research/scholarly mission, collaborating or leading clinically oriented research projects.
Qualifications
A MD, DO, PhD, or combined MD/PhD or DO/PhD.
Board‑eligible or board‑certified in Clinical Pathology and Molecular Pathology (or comparable board).
Experience in a clinical or academic setting that includes clinical care, teaching, and research at a level commensurate with Assistant/Associate/Full Professor appointments.
California professional license or eligibility for licensure.
U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, or eligibility for employment visa.
Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills; ability to work in a diverse environment.
