Extended School Year (ESY) & 2025-2026 School Year We are seeking dedicated

Behavior Support Specialists

to assist students in school settings across various grade levels. These positions offer a chance to provide individualized support through direct 1:1 and small group interventions, important data collection, and essential collaboration with educators to foster student success in academic and social environments. Key Responsibilities: Implement individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) utilizing evidence-based strategies to promote positive behavior and minimize challenges.

Collect and accurately document daily data to assess and track student progress toward behavioral goals.

Assist students in developing emotional regulation, social skills, and overall classroom engagement.

Utilize de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques as per district-approved methods.

Collaborate closely with teachers, behavior specialists, and school staff to ensure effective implementation of behavioral supports.

Monitor and support student behavior during all school activities, including transitions, mealtimes, and recess.

Provide assistance with personal care needs as necessary, including toileting and hygiene.

Help students using mobility or medical equipment when trained to do so.

Attend team meetings or IEPs when necessary to offer insights on behavior and progression.

Uphold professionalism and confidentiality regarding all matters related to students.

Engage in required training and continuous professional development.

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Associate's degree or 48+ college units preferred, or passing score on CBEST, ParaPro, or similar exam.

Experience working with children or students with disabilities and/or behavioral needs in any setting (school, clinic, or home).

Familiarity with behavioral principles and positive behavior supports is advantageous.

CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Able to lift up to 50 lbs and provide necessary support to students.

Excellent communication skills, patience, and the ability to maintain composure in high-stress scenarios.
