What You Will Do Assess patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized tests and observational techniques. Create tailored treatment plans that focus on both immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing enhancement. Deliver one-on-one speech therapy sessions that emphasize communication, language proficiency, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing strengths. Collaborate seamlessly with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to develop cohesive treatment strategies. Provide guidance and education to patients and their families, empowering them to support progress outside of therapy settings. Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and treatment sessions, ensuring a consistent caregiving experience. Keep meticulous and up-to-date documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational regulations. Engage in ongoing professional development and peer collaboration to stay informed on the latest advancements in speech-language pathology. Qualifications
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet attained. Certifications
State licensure as a
Speech Language Pathologist . Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, to be obtained within 30 days of hire. Core Competencies
Adept in using evidence-driven treatment methods for all age groups, demonstrating a firm grasp of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Strong interpersonal communication skills to engage effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
