About the Role:

The Maintenance Mechanic-I at our Kapolei Facility plays a critical role in ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment within the non-durable goods sector. This position focuses on performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and executing repairs to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the maintenance team and production staff to identify potential equipment failures and implement preventive measures. This role demands a proactive approach to maintaining machinery, ensuring safety standards are met, and supporting process improvements. Ultimately, the Maintenance Mechanic-I contributes directly to the facility's operational excellence and product quality by maintaining reliable and safe equipment performance.

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Basic mechanical aptitude with experience in maintenance or repair work, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. Familiarity with hand and power tools used in mechanical maintenance. Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety regulations. Preferred Qualifications:

Completion of a formal apprenticeship or technical training in mechanical maintenance or related field. Experience working in non-durable goods manufacturing or similar industrial settings. Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems as they relate to machinery maintenance. Certification in industrial maintenance or mechanical repair. Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). Responsibilities:

Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on mechanical equipment and machinery to ensure optimal functionality. Diagnose mechanical failures and troubleshoot issues promptly to reduce equipment downtime and maintain production flow. Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to schedule maintenance activities with minimal disruption to operations. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory to support operational tracking and compliance. Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.

The required mechanical skills enable the Maintenance Mechanic-I to effectively perform inspections, diagnose equipment issues, and execute repairs that keep production running smoothly. Troubleshooting abilities are essential for quickly identifying root causes of mechanical failures and implementing corrective actions.
