OVERVIEW Kid Power Inc. seeks a highly motivated and creative Communications & Media Intern with an interest in nonprofit storytelling, marketing, and youth development. This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to build professional skills in communications while supporting a mission-driven organization. RESPONSIBILITIES ● Content Creation: Write and edit engaging content for social media, newsletters, website updates, and other external communications. ● Media Management: Support marketing/media storage by organizing, labeling, and maintaining photo/video archives. ● Program Engagement: Attend Kid Power program sites weekly to capture stories, interviews, and photos for digital communications. ● Slack & Internal Communications: Use Slack and other tools to help coordinate communications across staff and programs. ● Creative Projects: Assist with graphic design (using Canva or similar tools) and propose innovative approaches to engage stakeholders. QUALIFICATIONS ● Strong research, writing, and editing skills with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences. ● Familiarity with social media platforms and current digital trends. ● Experience with Slack or similar collaboration tools. ● Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects. ● Familiarity with Canva or other design tools is a plus.
