Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk. This is a full‑time position on the 2nd shift (1:45 pm–10:15 pm). The role offers a 40‑hour work week, potential overtime, a full benefits package, and a 401(k) plan starting on day one.
The hourly rate for this position is $24.44 per hour. This figure is a general guideline only; salaries are based on skills, experience, and market conditions.
What You’ll Do
Responsible for systematic receiving control of plant materials
Responsible for maintaining receipts of purchase orders, ISOs, interfacility transfers
Responsible for enforcing hot list communications
Ability to identify received items and verify counts
Ability to identify vendor parts
Enforce safety policies for truck drivers entering the facility
Ownership of past‑due receiving logs and vendor service logs
Ability to perform root cause analysis of incorrect receipts and problematic shipments
Quarantine damaged and unidentified products
Ability to compare packing slips, purchase orders, Bill of Lading
Ability to understand the effects of received goods in the inventory system
Ability to perform cycle counting as needed
Maintaining document control for packing slips and BOLs
Responsible for delivery of non‑production related material
Ability to coordinate with team lead, inventory workers, supply chain, and material handlers to solve various issues
Maintain the labeling of product through the plant
Ability to work cross‑functional across plants
Research lost material transactional history and elevate as needed
Develop or improve upon receiving procedures
Required Qualifications
High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution
Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future
Must live within 50 miles of Santa Ana, CA; no relocation will be offered (Active‑Duty military service members are exempt)
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years’ experience in shipping/receiving
Ability to work extended hours
Forklift and pallet jack experience
Skills
Can lift up to 40 lbs.
Proven analytical and problem‑solving skills
Ability to work in a matrix environment, get results, and drive change through others
Effective oral and written communication skills; planning and organizational skills
