Business Development Representative (BDR)

Summary As a Business Development Representative, you will be the front‑line driver of growth. You will identify and engage new prospects, create initial interest through personalized outreach, discover and qualify leads, and position Nucleus’ value proposition. This role offers the chance to develop key sales skills and progress into larger positions within the company.
Key Responsibilities Conduct research to identify target accounts and key contacts; maintain a LinkedIn network of cybersecurity professionals. Engage inbound and outbound leads via discovery calls, LinkedIn messaging, and email; assess needs, timing, and decision‑making processes to qualify prospects. Manage and document all lead interactions in Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, Outreach, and Gong.io. Collaborate with sales and marketing to refine outreach strategies, leverage campaign insights, and improve lead‑generation effectiveness. Craft and deliver tailored messages that align with Nucleus’ values, moving prospects down the funnel. Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current on industry trends and refine sales techniques.
Qualifications Preferred bachelor’s or associate degree. 1–2 years of sales or related experience, preferably in a BDR, Sales Development, or customer‑facing role. Strong written and verbal communication skills to clearly convey value propositions. Curious and resilient attitude toward learning prospects’ needs and handling rejection positively. Tech‑savvy and comfortable using Salesforce, Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Gong.io, Slack, Teams, and Zoom Video. Goal‑oriented, results‑driven approach to meet or exceed KPIs. Team player capable of collaborating across departments.
