Kansas City, MO OR Houston, TX | EPC Industry We have a new opportunity for a
Senior Global Freight & Cargo Specialist
to lead the movement of project cargo around the world. From oversized equipment to critical project materials, you’ll manage the full cycle of
domestic and international logistics
and be moving large scale engineered project cargo internationally into the US—ensuring shipments arrive safely, on time, and in compliance with trade regulations. What You’ll Do
Coordinate
multimodal shipments
( truck, rail, ocean, air ) for complex project cargo. Partner with
freight forwarders, customs brokers, and suppliers
to ensure smooth cross-border transport. Support project proposals by providing
transportation studies and budgetary pricing . Develop and execute
logistics plans
that align with project schedules and cost goals. Negotiate and manage agreements with logistics providers. Monitor shipments, resolve issues, and keep all stakeholders informed. Mentor junior logistics staff and promote continuous improvement in logistics processes. What We’re Looking For
7+ years in
transportation/logistics management
(EPC, industrial, or heavy project cargo strongly preferred). Experience moving
engineered or fabricated equipment
for industries like oil & gas, petrochemical, power, or transmission. Strong knowledge of
Incoterms, import/export compliance, and trade regulations . Knowledge of import/export compliance Proven ability to manage
oversized/heavy-haul shipments . Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and logistics reporting tools. Travel
