Long Term Temporary Art Teacher
This position will start on March 16, 2026 through end of school year 2025-2026.
Duties And Responsibilities
Arrive at 8:30 and greet students in the hallway for morning duty at 8:40
Plan projects and organize supplies for implementing the National Core Arts Standards for pre K3-Grade 6 that prioritizes student choice
Collect, mount, and display student artwork in various locations around the school from 9:40-10:20 and from 3:00-3:35
Assist the reading specialist in literacy group from 10:20-10:50
Instruct one intervention group for reading comprehension from 11:00-11:30
Teach whole group classes from 11:40-1:30
Conduct afternoon Play Based Learning for Pre K3-Kindergarten aged students from 2:00-3:00.
Collect and store materials for the remaining time, and depart at 3:45
Collaborate with essentialist team during team meeting time allotted as well as attend staff meetings on Tuesdays from 3:45-4:45
Additional Requirements
Modify projects and materials for students with diverse abilities and needs
Provide consistent expectations and follow through with disciplinary actions and consequences
Facilitate in providing a safe, welcoming environment in order for students to practice authentic art making
