Accounting Manager
Santa Ana, CA
Role Description This is a full‑time, on‑site role for an Accounting Manager located in Santa Ana, CA. The Accounting Manager will perform day‑to‑day tasks such as managing financial statements, conducting journal entries, overseeing fixed assets, and analyzing financial data. The role also involves ensuring compliance with financial regulations and providing detailed financial reports to senior management.
Essential Job Functions
Manage daily accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and sub‑ledgers including perpetual inventories
Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements) for accuracy and compliance with standards such as GAAP or IFRS
Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal company policies
Oversee reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets
Coordinate annual audits with external auditors and provide necessary documentation
Review and approve journal entries, invoices, and expense reports
Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
Support payment processing by processing accounts payable checks weekly
Input credit and debits to the accounting system in support of the payables work
Run the financial reports for the BOD meetings with Director of Finance
Review AR aging reports and work with Director of Finance for collection decision
Perform monthly expense account reconciliations and final approvals
Develop and maintain regular reports via the company’s accounting system
Support and comply with all company policies and safety requirements
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that support business decisions
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred)
2–3 years of experience in accounting or accounts payable
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or similar) and Microsoft Excel
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
Ability to interpret complex financial data and identify trends or areas for improvement
Experience in the packaging industry is a plus
Cost Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
